What is an internship position?

An internship position is a temporary work placement, often held by students or recent graduates, that provides hands-on experience in a specific field or industry. Internships are designed to help individuals gain practical skills, build professional networks, and explore potential career paths. They can be paid or unpaid, part-time or full-time, and usually last for a set period, such as a summer or academic semester. Internships are valuable for both employers and interns, as they allow companies to evaluate potential future employees while giving interns real-world exposure.

The specific nature of your tasks will depend on the department and current organizational needs, but you'll be encouraged to ask questions and seek feedback to maximize your learning.
