Job Description

As a Marketing Intern at Coffman Engineers, you’ll be part of a collaborative, creative, and high-performing team that believes in making a difference for our clients and our communities. You’ll experience a culture where your growth and contributions truly matter.

Coffman Engineers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our Spokane office. This internship offers hands-on experience in professional services marketing, proposal development, business development support, content creation, and event coordination. The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, drive, and organization. This person needs to have an eye for graphic design, a brain for strategic thinking, and a passion for learning new concepts. This is a paid internship.

Qualifications

Primary Duties: 

  • Proposal Materials: Assist in the updating and creation of proposals, resumes, etc.
  • Data Management: Assist with maintaining marketing information in various software platforms.
  • Social Media: Create content for Coffman’s social media channels.
  • Website Development: Update and create new content.
  • Photography: Of projects and office events.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and organizing of office and client events.
  • Market Research: Assist in the research regarding industry trends and potential upcoming projects.
  • Internal Communication: Assist with internal communications to staff.
  • Public Relations/External Communication: Prepare and submit press releases to news agencies, assist in writing technical articles, assist with newsletters and e-blasts.
  • Presentations: Assist in the development and brand quality of internal and external presentations.

Requirements: 

  • We desire a student currently enrolled in a four-year degree program pursuing Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or similar.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week during the school year (more hours available if it works with your schedule)
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and MS Office 365 programs
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Communicate effectively, provide a high level of attention to detail, and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Highly organized; able to take direction and work independently.
