Position Overview

Peak Performance Physical Therapy is actively seeking a full-time, experienced Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Oakland, California. This role requires a dedicated professional ready to provide exceptional care in our outpatient office. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of one year of clinical experience, a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Physical Therapy, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal function and recovery.

About the Organization

At Peak Performance Physical Therapy, we pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering outstanding, patient-centered care. Our skilled team of Physical Therapists employs the latest evidence-based practices to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. We believe in fostering an environment where our clinicians can grow professionally, collaborate effectively, and contribute to the well-being of our community. Our clinic specializes in treating conditions related to back and neck pain, joint disorders, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Oakland, our outpatient office is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for our patients. As a member of our onsite team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and rehabilitation specialists, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patientโ€™s needs. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, but we offer flexibility to accommodate your personal and professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities using standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, integrating hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Utilize patient education strategies to teach clients about proper body mechanics, posture, and methods for pain relief and injury prevention.
  • Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes and ensure continuous improvement in health status.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of each patient's treatment interventions and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow therapists and physicians to coordinate the best care and address any complex patient needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes seeking to optimize performance, and seniors needing assistance with mobility challenges. We pride ourselves on our personalized approach, ensuring that every treatment plan considers the unique goals and lifestyle of each patient. The physical therapist in this role will have a tremendous opportunity to impact various demographics, including young athletes, active professionals, and older adults.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid, current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Board certification by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a relevant setting.
  • Strong proficiency in contemporary therapeutic modalities and treatment methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to enhance engagement with patients and foster collaborative treatment efforts.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with extensive backgrounds in orthopedic rehabilitation or sports therapy will be particularly valued. Experience working in an outpatient setting, coupled with familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, is advantageous. Proficiency in conducting group therapy sessions or community outreach programs would further exemplify a candidate's suitability.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a lucrative salary, our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and generous paid time off, including holidays, personal days, and vacation time. We also offer continuing education allowances to support your professional development.

Career Growth Opportunities

We provide ongoing training and development opportunities, mentorship programs, and access to the latest research in physical therapy. You will have the chance to take on leadership roles within the clinic and participate in community outreach initiatives, enhancing your skills while making a positive impact on the broader community.
