Job description

Are you looking for paid IT internship that will give you exposure to the wonderful world of IT?
The IT Team at Grand Pacific Resorts is offering a PAID Summer Internship for a few Help Desk Intern positions. You will be:
  • Assisting the Team with a project where we will be replacing PC's with new PC's at our resort locations in the Southern California region.
  • Assist with help desk requests to support our users with technical support needs.
  • Work hours are flexible - anywhere from 10-20 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Grand Pacific is a resort company located in Carlsbad, CA with the Corporate Headquarters located at 5900 Pasteur Court in Carlsbad and 22 Resorts located in Southern California, Hawaii, Northern California and Utah.
This is a great opportunity to see first-hand how an IT department operates, see the technology in action and get involved with some of the day to day problem solving activities! As part of joining the team, we will help you develop:
  • Interpersonal Skills
    • Consulting Skills: Experience developing excellent relationships with internal and external customers
    • Communication Skills: Practice communicating technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals and other team members
    • Teamwork: Opportunities to work cross-functionally to meet departmental goals.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience supporting a large geographically dispersed IT infrastructure.
    • If time permits real-time triage experience with Level I help desk tickets.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Only active students will be considered
    • Ideally someone who wants to pursue a career in IT and would like some exposure to Business Technology
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
  • Ability to lift at up to 25 pounds to help configure, install and setup workstations with computers and monitors etc.
  • Great time management and communication skills.
  • Great attitude and a great team player.
  • Ideally our Intern is able to drive to these Company locations to work on projects (and be reimbursed for mileage.), if not you can ride with someone on our team.
