The Tour Marketing Coordinator will work with the Director of Tour Marketing to develop, implement and execute marketing and ticketing strategies focused on a variety of audiences with a primary goal of selling tickets and maximizing marketing budgets for client tours and one-offs nationally and internationally. This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years (minimum) of professional experience working in a live music/music marketing-related role with previous agency experience strongly preferred. The candidate should be interested in music marketing and live music/touring. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented, communicative, highly motivated and organized individual who will continue to learn on the job, take initiative, and work under limited supervision across multiple clients and tours. Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task are crucial in this high-volume role working across the Director’s rotating roster of more than 100 music clients. The Coordinator will work with internal agent teams, managers, labels, tech partners, ticketing vendors and national and local marketing individuals to build announcement timelines, organize and execute artist-specific marketing, including, but not limited to, digital, print, radio, TV and outdoor. Project management skills are the foundation of this role, with creative marketing skills secondary. This role is based in-person in our Chicago office.

Responsibilities
  • Creating, managing and maintaining tracking documents and spreadsheets for artist marketing for all tours.
  • Coordinating tour announcements and on-sales for upcoming national and international shows and tours.
  • Creating and distributing marketing and ticketing emails to promoters.
  • Collecting localized creative, marketing plans, radio proposals, ticketing headers, ticketing audits and additional materials from promoters.
  • Distributing new content to promoter teams as received from artist teams.
  • Cross-checking all artist and promoter social media and official website platforms as well as ticketing links, pre-sales and any VIP program implementation to ensure all information is accurate.
  • Acting as a liaison between agents, clients/client teams, promoters and other external partners.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions for creative marketing ideas to implement throughout tour campaigns.
  • Working closely with the overall tour marketing department/team on building department-wide systems to make our department more efficient, creating presentations, submitting partner pre-sale requests, managing department interns, as well as additional initiatives as assigned.
  • Covering client shows to provide visibility and support to artist and agent teams.
Qualifications
  • Must be based in Chicago, IL or willing to relocate. (Must have valid U.S. work authorization as visa sponsorship is not available.)
  • 3-4 years of professional experience working in the music industry in an office setting, or in a live music marketing-related role.
  • Priority given to candidates with agency experience.
  • Must demonstrate maturity and tact when working with internal/external stakeholders and possess strong interpersonal awareness and the ability to gauge group dynamics.
  • Stays calm under pressure and uses structure, processes, and systems to prioritize and streamline workflow.
  • Focuses on details as much as the big picture, communicates clearly, and enjoys catching discrepancies, grammatical errors, and formatting issues (marketing letters, ad copy, artist admats).
  • Maintains confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.
  • Awareness/knowledge of key players in the live music space and understanding of the Pop/Rock/Urban ecosystems.
  • Flexibility to work on tours worldwide across multiple time zones in a variety of territories.
  • Ad platform literacy (Meta Business Manager) and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), Box, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proactive, reliable, resourceful, and assertive when necessary.
  • Brings a highly collaborative, adaptable mindset to the team and is eager to jump in wherever needed to ensure a tour's success.
  • Highly motivated and excited to continuously learn with the goal of succeeding and growing in the role and department.
