This position is focused directly on the artist and involves overseeing career opportunities, bookings, networking, promotional activities, scheduling, industry relationships, and other business matters related to the artist’s music career.

The ideal candidate understands that artist management is more than simply booking shows. This person will help build the artist’s career, create opportunities, establish industry relationships, and help turn the artist’s music into a sustainable business.

  • Communicate with venues, promoters, DJs, event organizers, producers, media, and other industry professionals
  • Negotiate and coordinate performance opportunities
  • Maintain the artist’s professional calendar and schedule
  • Coordinate meetings, rehearsals, performances, interviews, appearances, and other commitments
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the music industry
  • Identify opportunities for collaborations, features, performances, sponsorships, and partnerships
  • Assist with music releases and promotional campaigns
  • Help develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies
  • Assist with social media promotion and artist branding
  • Help identify opportunities to grow the artist’s audience and fanbase
  • Research record labels, distributors, publishers, producers, promoters, booking agencies, and other industry opportunities
  • Help coordinate travel and logistics for performances and appearances
  • Maintain professional communication with industry contacts
  • Follow up with venues, promoters, businesses, and potential partners
  • Keep organized records of contacts, bookings, opportunities, and business communications
  • Represent the artist and K-DUB Production ENT professionally
  • Help develop long-term career goals and strategies for the artist
  • Look for creative ways to generate revenue through the artist’s music and brand

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in artist management, music management, entertainment, booking, promotion, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the music industry
  • Knowledge of artist development and career management
  • Experience with booking shows, performances, or entertainment events
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Professional phone, email, and interpersonal communication
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Must be dependable and responsive
  • Must have a reliable cell phone
  • Must have access to a smartphone, tablet, computer, or other electronic device necessary to conduct business
  • Ability to network and build professional relationships
  • Ability to handle confidential business and career information professionally
  • Ability to represent the artist and company in a professional manner

Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:

  • Previous experience managing recording artists
  • Experience booking artists for shows
  • Established relationships with venues and promoters
  • Relationships with DJs, producers, event organizers, media, or other music professionals
  • Experience with independent artists
  • Music marketing and promotion experience
  • Social media marketing experience
  • Artist branding experience
  • Experience with entertainment contracts or performance agreements
  • Experience developing revenue opportunities for artists
  • Experience working with independent entertainment companies

Compensation & Growth

This is a growth-based opportunity with K-DUB Production ENT.

The starting compensation is $50 per week, with additional commission opportunities based on successful bookings and revenue-generating opportunities.

As the artist’s career and company revenue grow, compensation will increase based on performance, bookings, shows, revenue generated, and overall career development.

The goal is for this position to grow financially alongside the artist’s career.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who doesn’t need to be told to look for opportunities.

The right manager should be someone who can:

Make calls.
Send emails.
Build relationships.
Find shows.
Find opportunities.
Negotiate.
Network.
Follow up.
Think strategically.
And help turn an independent artist’s career into a business.

If you are passionate about music, understand the business side of the industry, and are ready to help build an artist’s career from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

How to Apply

Please submit:

  • Resume
  • Summary of your music-industry experience
  • Previous artist-management or booking experience
  • Examples of artists, shows, events, or projects you have previously managed or helped book
  • Professional references, if available
  • Brief explanation of why you believe you would be a good fit for managing an independent artist

K-DUB Production ENT is seeking a dedicated professional who is ready to grow with the artist and the company.
