Job description

Bauer Entertainment Marketing is seeking a hands-on, data-driven Ad Ops Specialist to execute, monitor, optimize, and scale paid advertising campaigns across digital and traditional platforms for our music, sports, and entertainment clients. This role is ideal for someone who lives inside ad platforms, understands the sales lifecycle of live events, and can make fast, confident optimization decisions that drive ticket sales.


Hiring for this role is driven by client demand, which can shift quickly. This evergreen posting allows us to proactively build a pool of qualified candidates so we can move efficiently when hiring needs arise. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, trafficking and launching campaigns across platforms, managing ad tags and tracking, monitoring delivery, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring campaigns run accurately and on time. The Ad Ops Specialist will also compile and analyze performance data, prepare clear reports, and collaborate with account managers and creative teams to ensure campaigns align with client goals.

On an ongoing basis, the Ad Ops Specialist will provide BEM with insights, observations, and actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance, streamline ad operations, and maximize client results.

This position reports to the Senior Digital Ads Specialist and will be partnering with other Specialists, Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and interns.

Work can either be conducted remotely or from BEM's workspace in East Nashville. The top candidate will be offered a minimum 3-month contract to train for full-time employment.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate with a major in business, music, marketing, communication, sociology, or psychology
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and optimizing campaigns in Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and DSPs.
  • Experience with marketing and entertainment companies

Mission:

  • Deliver unforgettable fan experiences by planning, executing, and optimizing data-driven advertising campaigns. Drive measurable performance, ensure flawless delivery, and maximize value for clients.

    Outcomes:

    • Launch and monitor campaigns with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
    • Consistently achieve an average return on ad spend (ROAS) of at least 3X across all client accounts.
    • Provide clear, actionable performance reporting for a minimum of 5 clients each month.
    • Recommend and implement high-performing ad strategies by leveraging institutional knowledge from past campaigns and best practices drawn from industry resources.
    • Maintain a campaign error rate below 1% (e.g., overspending, mistargeting, incorrect creative) through rigorous QA processes.

    Hard Skills:

    • Hands-on experience leading paid social media advertising across Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn, complemented by strong experience working with Google Ads, YouTube, and DSPs; familiarity with Spotify is a plus.
    • Proficient in tracking setup and troubleshooting, including pixels, conversions API, UTM parameters, and tag managers (Google Tag Manager, Meta Events Manager, TikTok Event Manager).
    • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving issues with tags, discrepancies, pacing, and delivery across platforms.
    • Proven track record of driving measurable results (Revenue, ROAS, CPA, Conversions, CPM).
    • Monitor campaign performance, pacing, and delivery, providing optimizations across DSPs, ad servers, and traditional media to maximize return.
    • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure ad messaging, copy, and visuals are platform-appropriate and performance-focused. Ensure all assets meet specifications and are delivered on schedule.
    • Coordinate asset delivery and trafficking for TV, radio, display, video, and DOOH, ensuring compliance with specs and deadlines.
    • Collaborating with Project Managers to build campaign performance reports with a heavy focus on evaluating sales attribution data and campaign returns.
    • Oversee campaign builds completed by internal teams and provide quality assurance, ensuring proper structure, targeting, tracking, budget pacing, and creative alignment.
    • Reconcile media spend and vendor invoices, ensure accuracy and transparency
    • Expert-level written and oral communication skills. Preference is given to strong copywriters and editors
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Products (e.g., Doc, Slides, Forms)
