Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Database Developer with strong Oracle experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in Oracle database development, SQL optimization, and performance tuning, along with familiarity working in AWS RDS environments. This role will work closely with application developers and business stakeholders to ensure our data systems are efficient, secure, and scalable.
This position is fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database structures (schemas, tables, indexes, views).
  • Write, optimize, and debug Oracle SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Work with AWS RDS for Oracle to support cloud-based database infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with application developers to integrate Oracle databases with business applications.
  • Improve database performance through indexing, query tuning, and optimization techniques.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and robust backup/recovery processes.
  • Support database migration and integration projects, especially into AWS RDS.
  • Document database systems, workflows, and development standards.

Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, tuning).
  • Experience working with AWS RDS for Oracle or similar managed database services.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design principles and normalization.
  • Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with database security and backup/recovery strategies.

Desired:
  • Exposure to other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Basic knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools.
