Job Summary:
PRI Global is seeking a skilled and communicative MS Access Database Developer to modernize and optimize a critical legacy system. The role involves analyzing existing database architecture, redesigning tables, and improving system performance while collaborating closely with end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate the architecture of an existing legacy MS Access database; redesign and update tables, relationships, and queries to improve efficiency and data integrity.
• Interface directly with non-technical end-users via video calls, chat, and email to troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and define system requirements.
• Refactor legacy VBA code, optimize complex SQL queries, and build user-friendly forms and reports.
• Ensure data cleanliness and structured architecture to help pave the way for potential future migrations to SQL Server or cloud platforms.
• Create clear, concise documentation for the updated database schema, user workflows, and technical updates.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Advanced MS Access Expertise: Deep understanding of MS Access (forms, reports, macros, and advanced query design).
• Database Architecture: Strong experience in relational database design, data normalization, and indexing.
