Job description

  • Works with the Program Director to ensure course alignment with instructional methodology, assessment, and core alignment.
  • Delivers didactic instruction via in the classroom with the support of the learning management system, Blackboard multiple formats in the BS in Healthcare Management and Technology program.
  • Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, and conveys policies in line with those of the school, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria.
  • Supports course development by creating, delivering and assessing engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered.
  • Uses the University's learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials, complete grading, and to communicate with students.
  • Advises and assists students through posted office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms.
  • Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

Required:

  • Must be able to teach in-person and in the classroom at the Boston campus.
  • Masters in health data analytics, health informatics, health administration, or closely related field (doctorate preferred)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in healthcare informatics, preferably focusing on administrative or operational informatics

  • Teaching experience at the college/university level
  • Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
