The Samsung SDS AI Team is building the next generation of enterprise AI, Physical AI, and intelligent automation technologies that power real-world operations at global scale. Our teams work at the intersection of robotics, generative AI, computer vision, multimodal learning, and autonomous systems to create practical AI solutions for manufacturing, logistics, cloud infrastructure, and smart enterprise environments.

Eligibility criteria:
  • Must be enrolled in accredited college program.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • 3 months commitment for 20 hours per week with availability to start June 8th, 2026
  • Must be able to commute to the office to work 5 days per week onsite in Mountain View, CA
Position Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated interns to help train and operate next-generation humanoid and mobile robotic systems powering the future of Physical AI. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge robotics platforms, immersive VR systems, and real-world AI data collection environments.

As a Robotics Teleoperations Intern, you will help robots learn how to interact with the physical world by performing real-world tasks through advanced teleoperation systems. You'll collaborate with robotics engineers, AI researchers, and data teams contributing directly to the development of Vision Language Models (VLMs), robotic autonomy, and embodied AI technologies.

This is an ideal opportunity for students passionate about robotics, gaming, VR, AI, human-computer interaction, or emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Operate humanoid robots, robotic arms, or mobile robotic systems using VR headsets, game controllers, and specialized teleoperation rigs.
  • Perform repetitive real-world manipulation tasks such as stacking, sorting, assembling, organizing, and object handling to help train robotic AI systems.
  • Capture and document robot behaviors, edge cases, failures, and unusual interactions to improve system learning and reliability.
  • Perform data filtering based on specified criteria of data quality

Requirements

  • Physical & Spatial Aptitude: Exceptional hand-eye coordination, fine motor control, and advanced spatial awareness Robot Teleoperator
  • Gaming/Tech Comfort: Strong proficiency with VR systems, game controllers (e.g., PS5, Xbox).
  • Ability to remain focused while performing repetitive physical tasks with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working onsite in a robotics lab or warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Python, shell scripting, or familiarity with Git/Linux
  • Familiarity with robotics, teleoperation systems, or autonomous technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Python, Linux, shell scripting, or Git.
  • Previous experience in gaming, esports, robotics clubs, makerspaces, or technical lab environments.
