Summary: 

This internship role will report to the Omnichannel Brand Manager and be responsible for a mix of graphic design help and marketing coordinator tasks. This is an opportunity to learn and participate in a wide array of marketing tasks that would help set the foundation of a marketing career in Consumer Product Goods grounded in the food industry. This role will span creative needs for a growing CPG organization including assisting with design requests including point of sale material, packaging, and advertising, creating mock-ups and samples, helping with item spec information, auditing current item information both internal and external and helping with item information portals. This work will span branded, licensed, and private label products and content across grocery, mass and club retail channels.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Include the following task and other responsibilities with similar skill requirements and work conditions may be assigned as needed

  • Online Grocery Analysis: Conduct retailer site audits, review and update content, identify trends, analyze competitors, and recommend ongoing improvements based on findings.
  • Retail Account Support: Assist in preparing marketing materials and information for the sales team and retail account needs, including point-of-sale materials, item information, and other supporting data.
  • Marketing Asset Development: Support the creation of visual assets for projects, brands, and campaigns, including digital content, advertisements, brochures, posters, point-of-sale materials, sell sheets, product specification sheets, and related materials.
  • Marketing Material Maintenance: Help audit, update, and create marketing materials to ensure they remain current and accurate.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, brand, project management, and sales teams to support the development and completion of graphic design projects.
  • Sales Support: Create packaging mockups as needed to support sales presentations and customer meetings.
  • Graphic Portal Support: Assist with graphic portal requests and support needs for the kettle card program and related kettle program materials.
  • Design Assistance: Assist the Junior Graphic Designer with packaging and creative design projects ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, customer requirements, and project needs.
  • Product Information Systems: Support portal and system needs by learning, using, and helping maintain tools for product launch content and ongoing product management updates.
  • Category and Trend Tracking: Identify and track emerging trends in categories where Blount competes, including soups, macaroni and cheese, chili, prepared meals, flatbread pizza, and related categories.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other responsibilities with similar skills, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience/Education: 

  • Currently pursuing or recent bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business administration, Management and /or graphic design or a related field 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Primarily PowerPoint) and or Canva.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A love of creativity and Soup.
