This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth within both accounting and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile third-party warehouse (3PL) inventory reports to ERP system quantities and investigate discrepancies
  • Prepare and assist with monthly inventory valuation reports and variance analysis
  • Support monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries related to inventory, reserves, and obsolescence
  • Monitor inventory transactions and identify issues related to receiving, shipping, or data entry
  • Assist with standard costing procedures and analyze cost variances on item receipts
  • Track and report on damaged, aged, and non-sellable inventory
  • Coordinate monthly inventory counts with warehouses and assist with audit requests
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies related to inventory and storage costs
  • Partner with supply chain teams to support inventory planning, replenishment, and order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple warehouse locations
  • Assist in developing and improving inventory control processes and procedures
  • Support compliance with safety regulations and Responsible Distribution (RD) standards
  • Help resolve mis-shipments, receiving errors, and inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Generate reports and provide insights on inventory performance and key metrics
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (required)
  • Internship or coursework in accounting, inventory, or data analysis preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) is a plus
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and solve problems using data
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally
