Department Information
Within this setting, the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology is a dynamic and growing unit of over 50 faculty and staff serving over 2,000 majors enrolled in a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. This position is expected to fill teaching needs in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Undergraduate degree program
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the visiting instructor of Health Sciences will teach five courses per semester in the areas of Health Communication, Management of Health Information, Nutrition, Population Health Sciences, and Epidemiology. This is an academic year appointment for the months of August 2026 ¿ May 2027. All visiting positions are non-tenure track appointments. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications

• Earned Master's Degree in Health Sciences, or a closely related field, by June 1, 2026 with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Health Sciences.
• Experience in online instruction at the college level.
• Demonstrated commitment to student engagement in the online environment.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in academic programs with an interdisciplinary studies focus.
• Experience in a healthcare organization.

Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
