About the Role

The Director of Revenue Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all revenue cycle functions across multiple Orthotic & Prosthetic (O&P) clinics. This role ensures accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with payer requirements while managing centralized support for insurance authorizations and patient financial services. The position requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and expertise in O&P-specific reimbursement processes.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies tailored to O&P services, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and payer guidelines.

  • Lead and mentor managers and staff across billing, collections, and insurance authorization teams.

  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to align revenue cycle processes with patient care and operational goals.

  • Central Clinic Support & Insurance Authorization

  • Oversee centralized insurance authorization team to ensure timely and accurate pre-approvals for O&P devices and services.

  • Establish workflows for verifying coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, and managing payer documentation requirements.

  • Monitor authorization turnaround times and implement process improvements to reduce delays.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, coding, billing, claims submission, denial management, and collections.

  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements specific to O&P services.

  • Track and report KPIs such as AR days, authorization approval rates, and denial trends.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial performance metrics.

  • Analyze revenue trends and identify opportunities for increased reimbursement and reduced write-offs.

  • Technology & Process Improvement

  • Implement technology solutions and automation to streamline authorization and billing processes.

  • Standardize workflows across clinics for consistency and efficiency.

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (master's preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Experience in Orthotic & Prosthetic, DME (Durable Medical Equipment) or other medical ancillary fields strongly preferred.

  • Proven success managing centralized insurance authorization teams.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Skills: Deep knowledge of O&P billing, coding, and payer requirements; strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency in revenue cycle technology platforms and insurance portals.
