Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position/Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Specialist with expertise in Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, VMware, computer networking, data backup and restore, data archiving, and the ability to configure Cisco switches, Checkpoint firewall, network settings on Cloud, and Wi-Fi network, including Access Points. The IT Infrastructure Specialist will play a critical role in providing technical support and maintaining our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented approach.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Follow industry security trends, and ensure to meet IT network security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, etc.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues reported by employees, with a particular focus on systems utilizing Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, printers, and other IT equipment, with a keen understanding of VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Set up and troubleshoot employee workstations, ensuring proper integration with Windows Active Directory and Azure AD environments, and assist with onboarding new team members.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels in Windows Active Directory and Azure AD to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization's network and servers, including VMware virtualized environments.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to coordinate the repair and replacement of faulty hardware or software components.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, upgrades, and system migrations, with an emphasis on Azure AD, Office 365, and VMware-related initiatives.
  • Provide technical training and support to team members on Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, VMware, and other relevant technologies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation of IT-related processes and procedures, particularly related to the mentioned technologies.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, VMware, and computer networking, and recommend technology improvements or optimizations.
  • Configure Cisco switches, Checkpoint firewall, network settings on Cloud and Wi-Fi network including Access Points.
  • Troubleshooting communication issues between on-premises and cloud and establish solutions for system integrations.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Specialist or in a similar technical support role, with a focus on Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, VMware, and computer networking.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, instrumentation and software applications.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and remote support tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or relevant vendor-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Support.
