Global Payments is seeking an intern for Cyber Security. The Cyber Security Intern will join a team tasked with providing specialized cyber security services to support the Global Payments Cyber Security Program. The intern will work in assigned roles to facilitate mitigation and detection of threats to Global Payments.
Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibilities can include handling of cyber threat intelligence, guided cyber threat hunt, endpoint forensics, and/or vulnerability research
  • Develop and enhance playbooks and procedures as needed for focused projects
  • Monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities as assigned
  • Contribute to information security policies and standards, procedures and other documentation as needed to improve information security capabilities.
  • Create meaningful metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls and security team operations.
  • Participate in security architecture reviews and exception approval processes.
  • Generate security related artifacts as needed to meet internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Keep abreast of industry and technology threats to guide security decisions

Other Duties:
  • Participate in program improvement for future interns

Qualifications:
  • Working towards Nexus or Bachelors in Cyber Security focused discipline
  • Achieved the following certifications or equivalent: IT Fundamentals, Network+, A+, Security+
  • Working towards one or more of the following certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner, GCP Cloud Digital Leader, or a security specialization
  • Awareness of FinTech related compliance frameworks((PCI(Payment Card Industry), SOX(Sarbanes-Oxley) , GLBA(Gramm Leach Bliley Act)), etc.). Knowledge of industry standard security compliance programs ((PCI(Payment Card Industry), SOX(Sarbanes-Oxley) , GLBA(Gramm Leach Bliley Act), etc.)
  • Awareness of National Security Standards(NIST CyberSecurity Framework, NIST SP800 Series, etc.)
