This is more than a typical internship. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate records.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing employee documentation and assisting with new hire orientation.
  • Maintain and update employee records while ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of HR data.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training programs, performance management activities, and other HR projects.
  • Research HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance-related topics.
  • Support internal and external communication efforts related to employee engagement and talent acquisition.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist with culture and employee experience initiatives.
  • Utilize various HR technology systems and other job-related software applications

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Communications or related fields.
  • Due to university employment guidelines, individuals selected for this internship cannot hold any other OSUP, Ohio State University, or student employment position concurrently.

Schedule:
The Internship schedule can be flexible around classes and may change with breaks and semesters. Minimum hours are 10 hours per week, maximum hours are 20 hours per week. Hours must be scheduled Monday - Thursday business hours.
