Job description


Regions Hospital is seeking a Lab Service Tech in General Diagnostics in the Radiology Department. This position provides front desk reception and clerical support, communicates with patients, family members, and providers, facilitates patient care and flow between different Regions departments and/or outside providers, processes laboratory tests and results assessments, documents patient care and ensures that the results are properly filed, operates multiple hospital computer systems, performs basic order entry, and assists physicians, nurses, and radiology technologists in the Radiology Department.
Work Schedule:
  • Evenings, weekend, holiday and call rotations
  • 0.5 FTE

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a standard one-year medical laboratory assistant training program, phlebotomy program, or equivalent (e.g., Certified Medical Assistant, EMT, paramedic) OR one year of phlebotomy experience OR Associate degree or higher with two years of applicable direct patient healthcare experience, OR a successful completion of a radiology or ultrasound internship program.
  • BLS from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program.
