Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Communications

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will document activities using computer or tablet tools while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and support a welcoming environment.
  • Monitor access points, assist with visitor management procedures, and provide directions or escorts as assigned while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
