Job description

Position Summary

Acuren Inspection is current recruiting for Heat Treat Technicians to support our operations in in Kansas City, MO

The Heat Treat Assistant assists in the operation of furnaces and related equipment used in the heat treatment of metals to achieve specified mechanical properties. Under direct supervision, this role supports loading and unloading parts, monitoring furnace temperatures, recording process data, and ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety standards. The Heat Treat Technician I maintains equipment cleanliness, performs basic inspections, and helps prepare materials for processing. This entry-level position focuses on developing foundational knowledge of heat treatment principles, metallurgy basics, and process control practices within a production or laboratory environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up of Pre-Heat and Stress Relief equipment
  • Ability to perform machining work is a plus
  • Must be available for call out jobs
  • Adhere to Acuren and Client Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Promote a positive safety culture
  • Complete JHA's
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager, QC Manager, and Supervisor
  • Maintain morale and professional presentation
  • Produce charts, Heat Treat reports, Hardness Testing reports to submit to QC
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in Heat Treat field 
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check
  • Must be able to pass company drug screen
  • Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain
