Aluminum Heat Treater


Overview:

Peters’ Heat Treating is a privately held, family-owned business that has been thriving on a customer focused, results driven operation for over 40 years. We offer a wide range of heat treatments that service customers in the tool & die, automotive, aerospace, blade/cutlery, medical, military and nuclear industries. With multiple locations and an array of services offered we are able to provide our customers with worry-free, full-service heat treating. Our company offers superb advantages such as healthcare and 401K benefits for its employees.

We are looking for an Aluminum Heat Treater for our Meadville, PA location. Furnace operator duties include but are not limited to operating furnaces, sandblasting, handling customer materials, fixturing parts for processing, computer entry, hardness testing and plant housekeeping.

It is pertinent that the applicant is able to follow procedures and that he/she is consistent, accurate, and detail oriented. Training provided for appropriate candidates.


Required Experience:

  • Communicates with coworkers, management and customers in a courteous and professional manner in order to maintain a good team effort
  • Detail oriented and ensures quality of company work
  • Flexible schedule will be required with potential of any shift: days, nights and weekends
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to follow procedures and produce reliable repeatable work
  • Ability to work with basic hand tools
  • Self-motivated
  • Responsible and punctual
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Portrays a positive attitude daily
  • Intermediate level of computer skills for using job tracking software
  • Capable of reading, comprehending and passing exams in heat treating coursework
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Willing and able to work in hot environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or basic understanding of heat treating principles
  • Experience in tooling or manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge in the use of metallurgical testing equipment

Pay rate dependent on applicant skill set.
