Job Description:
Job Profile: IT Security Loss Prevention Intern
FLSA: Non-Exempt
As a Loss Prevention Auditing Intern, you will be traveling to Hy-Vee stores performing audits in conjunction with store management during the summer of 2027. You will primarily be focused on auditing and governing the controls outlined by PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This position will require overnight stays and weekly travel for the extent of the internship. This position will be approximately 40 hours per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Organize, document and lead in-store PCI DSS audits on behalf of IT Security
  • Identify, document and report compliance issues or findings that require follow-up or investigation
  • Prepare, plan, and communicate with store leadership around expectations
  • Work in conjunction with the Hy-Vee Loss Prevention and Information Security Compliance teams

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Clean driving record and an active and valid driver's license
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college with a major in an IT or security related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • One or more years of experience at a Hy-Vee retail location preferred
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and execute solutions
