Summary

The primary focus of this role is the safe and efficient handling of containers within a controlled environment. This position will require the operator to operate both a Reach Stacker and an Industrial Forklift.

    Important Personal Skills

    • Have at least 1-year experience in the safe operation of Reach Stacker and/or Industrial Forklift.
    • A positive attitude and can work well under pressure
    • Previous reach stacker / container handler experience.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Strong sense of accountability
    • A strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels.
    • The want to learn all aspects of the business.

    Job Tasks

    • The operation of equipment in a manner that is both safe and avoids damage to containers and other equipment or product. (reach stacker/industrial)
    • The safe and effective stacking of sea containers up to 4 high (reach stacker)
    • The safe loading and unloading of containers on chassis.
    • Monitors gauges, inspects product, troubleshoots as needed, and handles routine maintenance (reach stacker/industrial)
    • Demonstrating a high level of Safety and Process compliance. (reach stacker/industrial)
    • Attention to detail and, maintaining complete and accurate documentation. (reach stacker and industrial)
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of the full yard (reach stacker) and the empty yard (industrial)
    • The safe and effective stacking of sea containers up to 2 high (industrial).

    Qualification and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Must hold a valid Driver License
    • Must be able to complete and pass drug test and background check
    • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
