Position Summary


The Senior Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of arcade games and related entertainment equipment. This role involves hands-on work with electronic and electromechanical systems, ensuring all machines operate efficiently and safely. The position also provides technical guidance to junior technicians and supports the setup and installation of new arcade equipment to maintain a high-quality guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair arcade game machines (classic and modern) including video games, pinball machines, claw machines, redemption games, and simulators
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on all equipment
  • Maintain accurate service logs and documentation for all repairs and maintenance performed
  • Order and track parts and supplies as needed
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new arcade equipment
  • Ensure machines are clean, presentable, and safe for customer use
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians
  • Collaborate with the operations team to minimize equipment downtime and maximize uptime
  • Stay current on new technologies and advancements in arcade gaming equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop or technical area
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed

Requirements

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining arcade machines or similar electronic/electromechanical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills


Preferred Skills


  • Experience with ticket/redemption game systems and card readers (e.g., Embed, Intercard)
  • Familiarity with coin mechanisms, monitors, PCBs, power supplies, and software updates
  • Experience working in a family entertainment center, arcade, or similar environment
