Job description

Join Our Flash Team as a Materials Handler!

Flash is looking for a Materials Handler to help deliver on our mission to free consumers from the hassles of everyday travel by making it faster and easier to get where you need to go so that they can focus on the destination.

The Materials Handler will be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, and transferring materials in a warehouse setting to support the flow of production, inbound, and outbound materials. The Materials Handler plays a pivotal role in the success of inventory control, production flow, and customer fulfillment daily.

Location: 5 days onsite at our Dripping Springs, TX  warehouse.

Shift: Mon-Fri 8 am- 5 pm

What You'll Do:

  • Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for final distribution.
  • Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production and sales orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
  • Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items onto and off trucks, loading docks, and shelves.
  • Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
  • Other duties assigned by management to achieve operational excellence.

 What You Bring:

  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and TMS systems - RF Smart and Ship Hawk are preferred.
  • Familiar with computer data entry and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Team player mentality - ability to understand how company goals can translate to daily activities.
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and enjoy solving problems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment.
  • Certifications: Certified or capable of being certified to operate a forklift (stand-up and sit-down)

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Required +1 years experience in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, warehouse operations, logistics, or similar. Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is highly desired.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience

Salary: 

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Final salary will be determined based on candidate's skills and experience level.
