At A Glance
As a Channel Partners Training Content Developer, you will be responsible for elevating the quality of client deliverables by designing, improving, and delivering high-impact training content. This role bridges the gap between client requirements and field execution by conducting in-field test sets, meeting with manufacturers to review prototypes, and facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions. The Content Developer ensures that all 6,000+ employees in our national network are prepared for every project launch through clear, technical, and actionable training resources.

What You'll Do
Content Design & Development
  • Develop and improve all current and future training materials for Merchandising and Break-Fix programs
  • Create training videos and maintain extensive program training guides that serve as the primary resource for field representatives
  • Reverse engineer display prototypes to gather technical information required to build accurate training content
  • Partner with the Learning Design team to upload new modules and assign training to the appropriate field specialists
  • Revise content based on specific and creative feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to ensure absolute clarity

Client & Manufacturer Collaboration
  • Review display prototypes alongside clients and manufacturers to provide expert feedback on assembly and maintenance
  • Identify training needs by meeting directly with client contacts to develop tailored content for new program launches
  • Develop presentation decks for conference calls and participate in daily alignment meetings
  • Conduct test sets and time studies to provide project time estimates and project time quotes to the operations team

In-Field Execution & Validation
  • Travel to national markets and local stores to conduct in-person training with field representatives
  • Perform in-store test visits and market visits to gather pertinent information for future projects and survey findings
  • Review call forms and provide final approval to ensure field data collection is optimized prior to project launches
  • Conduct one-on-one training calls and facilitate virtual training sessions to maintain field proficiency
  • Develop relationships with store associates during visits to improve the quality of in-store execution

What You'll Bring
Experience and Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree preferred
  • 1+ years of previous training experience, specifically in a retail or merchandising environment
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing video editing software to create instructional content preferred
  • Experience leading remote training sessions or phone-based training calls

Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and video editing platforms.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills with a professional demeanor suitable for client interaction.
  • Excellent focus on accuracy when creating technical guides and reviewing prototypes.
  • Ability to respond supportively to changing project timeframes, circumstances, and stakeholder needs.
  • Proven ability to work through varied issues with honesty and a candid, straightforward manner.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to travel frequently, including overnight stays and off-hour work as required for market visits
  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and drive for business purposes
  • Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs as required by the position type for display handling and set-ups
  • Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation for content creation and software
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof of motor vehicle insurance
