Job description

About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Policy Analyst to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) Policy Office at the Pentagon.  The Policy Office has implemented a shared responsibility model to better formulate, coordinate, and prioritize policy development.  This position offers a timely opportunity to be a part of this game-changing and high-visibility effort.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate policy staff actions across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Coordinate Secretary of Defense (SecDef) and Under Secretary of Defense (Intelligence and Security) (USD(I&S)) issuances in accordance with Office of the USD(I&S) standard operating procedures outlined in DoDI 5025.01, including coordinating with other DoD elements as appropriate.
  • Evaluate USD(I&S) policy documents and issuances to ensure they fulfill Defense Intelligence, CI, security, intelligence-related, and law enforcement needs for policy guidance and conform to established Office of SecDef standards.
  • Evaluate policy documents and issuances from other DoD components to ensure they appropriately reflect Defense Intelligence, CI, security, law enforcement, intelligence-related, and law enforcement equities.
  • Ensure IC policies are reviewed by the OUSD(I&S) staff and other DoD components with equities in the policy.
  • Identify and resolve problems that arise during issuance development process; evaluate alternatives; provide recommendations for solutions to OUSD(I&S) Primary and Alternate Policy Focal Points; and give presentations and briefings as required.
  • Resolve issues raised in the coordination of policy across the Federal government via participation in DoD, IC, and inter-agency meetings and working groups.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Required:  Must have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Required:  Minimum of 5 years of experience working within DoD and have experience coordinating DoD issuances.
  • Highly preferred:  Experience with the DoD Issuance Portal System and the USD(I&S) Policy Portal.
  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s Degree.
The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse's comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
