Job description

Responsibilities
NORTON CHILDREN'S CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY & PSYCHOLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children's Medical Group is seeking a full-time psychologist with expertise in treatment of patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder and related disorders. Appointment will be a combined 1.0 FTE with Norton Children's Medical Group, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry & Psychology.
About the Position:
  • Primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating children/adolescents with eating disorders and their families primarily in an outpatient medical setting; assisting in further developing programs; implementing empirically-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, FBT, and ACT; and serving as a consultant to Norton Healthcare medical staff.
  • This position offers the opportunity to participate in program development related to possible services available to treat eating disorders (e.g., IOP)
  • The psychologist will also have the opportunity to be involved with training psychology residents in our APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology, as well as educating child psychiatry residents, psychiatry residents and medical students
  • While the position is primarily clinical in focus, the faculty member will have opportunities for research and clinical innovation
  • The faculty appointment for this position is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pediatrics.

Applicants must have:
  • Pediatric or child clinical psychologist with training and experience in pediatric eating disorders services
  • Doctorate from an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited graduate program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
  • APA-accredited internship
  • Postdoctoral fellowship, with a focus on treating youth with eating disorders or comparable clinical expertise
  • Kentucky psychologist license or license eligible
  • Eligible for Health Service Provider (HSP) designation

Qualifications
Required:
  • One year as a clinical psychologist
  • Doctorate Degree
  • Licensed Psychologist
