Senior Electrical Engineer- Data Center Modular / Prefab - Denver, CO 
This client is a leading OEM in the mission-critical data center industry. They provide modular and mechanical data center solutions through custom-fit projects to meet the requirements of their client's mission-critical facilities. They provide this expertise in the Modular / Pre-fab space in the Data Center / Critical Facilities Space with the mindset to provide reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability. They provide these services for Enterprise Data Center Customers, the Colo Market and for Hyperscale companies. The ideal candidate will have past experience designing critical power systems electrical systems specifically for modular mission critical data centers. They will have experience and in-depth knowledge of Electrical Power Systems / Power Distribution System design and  installation. Previous experience with electrical equipment design to include Generators, UPS systems and electrical switchgear is a must. They will be proficient using / reviewing AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP to develop electrical construction models and documents. You will help lead the design and effectively work with / communicate with all the trades and stakeholders involved in the project. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create designs and plans, provided and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role for all sizes of data center modular design projects - enterprise data centers, Colocation Providers and for Hyperscale Companies
  • Create Conceptual Designs gathered from meetings with the client for Field Engineer focus
  • Work with Management to respond to RFPs; Review shop drawings and submittals; Review and respond to RFIs
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policies;  Put these in clear concise work statement for the field
  • Lead the company in project meetings when needed
  • Collaborate with all design staff and oversee full cycle electrical design activities
  • Interact closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications and lead the construction administration process
  • Execute design projects of complex scope
  • Perform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks including development of electrical distribution systems and topologies, infrastructure and equipment layouts and selection / sizing of equipment
  • Develop and / or review sequences of operations
  • Assist with proposal development including project scope, schedule and budget
  • Resource forecasting and coordination
  • Identify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines
  • Support contact for design clients and builds effective, long-term client relationships
  • Direct / coordinate interns / other engineering and technical staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • BS / MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
  • 7-10+ years of relevant electrical engineering, design and integration experience in critical power systems, modular data centers, or large-scale electrical infrastructure
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Extensive Experience with Electrical Power Systems and Equipment - UPS / Uninterruptible Power Supply, Generators, Batteries, switchgear,  switchboards, Power Distribution Units, Backup Power , Electrical Power, Power Systems in a prefabricated / prefab or modular environments
  • Deep understanding of power distribution design, protective device coordination, and load flow analysis
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent electrical design platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and field execution teams
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (Uptime, NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, UL)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on manufacturability
  • Strong background in DFM/DFA principles applied to electrical assemblies
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing design standards and best practices across teams or product lines and system reliability
  • Ability to work independently while driving technical excellence across multiple projects simultaneously
  • MS Office: Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Self Starter, self motivated, and should prioritize well
  • Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face
  • Complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail
  • Analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
