  • Establish and maintain data risk management frameworks, standards, and controls aligned with business and regulatory expectations
  • Support and guide the implementation of capabilities such as data classification, data discovery, metadata management, and data lineage
  • Provide oversight and challenge to first line teams as capabilities mature, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
  • Identify capability gaps and prioritize enhancements based on risk, regulatory requirements, and most importantly business needs
  • Develop and deliver metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure program adoption, control effectiveness, and maturity (e.g., data classification coverage, lineage completeness, policy adherence)
  • Monitor and assess data risk posture and control effectiveness, escalating risks and issues as appropriate
  • Collaborate with partners across Operational Resilience, Privacy, and Compliance to translate regulatory expectations into practical data controls and capabilities
  • Contribute to data risk training and awareness programs across the organization
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data governance and data risk management practices

You'll need to have:
  • 5 - 8+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or data risk management
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Experience working across technology, data, risk, privacy, or compliance functions
  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting data governance capabilities (e.g., data classification, metadata management, data lineage, or data discovery)
  • Understanding of data risk concepts, including data protection, regulatory expectations, and control design
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience with data governance or data management tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Varonis)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS-based data ecosystems
  • Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating across a global organization

We'd love to see:
