This position is hybrid, 3 days a week in office in Mequon, WI.
POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
The Cybersecurity Supervisor provides operational leadership for Charter Manufacturing's cybersecurity program through oversight of cybersecurity personnel, managed security service providers, and day-to-day security operations. This role is responsible for coordinating cybersecurity activities, supporting incident response and vulnerability management processes, developing team capabilities, and driving continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations and services. Partnering with Digital Technology, Operational Technology, Risk & Controls, and business stakeholders, this role supports secure business operations and reduces cybersecurity risk across Charter Manufacturing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years experience in cybersecurity or related experience.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity technologies and controls across hybrid cloud, SaaS, endpoint, network, identity, and on-premises environments.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies across enterprise environments, including security monitoring, SIEM, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, identity and access controls, network security, email/web security, data protection, forensics, and cloud/SaaS security controls.
  • Experience coordinating cybersecurity operations through internal teams, managed security service providers (MSSPs), managed detection and response (MDR) providers, or similar security service delivery models.
  • Experience coordinating vulnerability management, remediation prioritization, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Experience using networking concepts, technologies, and protocols.
  • Handson system administration experience with Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with application, system, and network security attacks and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages.
  • Skilled at leading the assessment, prioritization, remediation, and mitigation of cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, and operational security risks.
  • Project management experience to lead cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and provide solid customer service.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in communicating complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to embrace change in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
  • Ability to be on-call to support a global manufacturing environment that operates 24 X 7.
  • Availability to travel as project load requires.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience improving cybersecurity processes through automation, scripting, artificial intelligence, workflow optimization, or operational maturity initiatives.
  • Experience working in and supporting a manufacturing environment and industrial control systems.
  • Security related certification (For example Security+, GSEC, CISSP, CEH).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST CSF, CMMC, and ISO 27001.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Provide operational leadership and technical guidance for Charter Manufacturing's cybersecurity program, including oversight of security operations, cybersecurity personnel, operational processes, and service delivery.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop assigned cybersecurity personnel, including employees, rotational resources, interns, and external service partners as appropriate.
  • Cultivate a team culture that promotes operational excellence, continuous improvement, collaboration, and business enablement.
  • Manage relationships and operational performance of managed security service providers (MSSPs), MDR providers, and other cybersecurity service partners.
  • Coordinate security monitoring, alert management, threat detection, and operational response activities across internal and external resources.
  • Lead the planning, testing, prioritization, coordination, and execution of security incident response activities, ensuring timely investigation, containment, escalation, remediation, and post-incident improvement.
  • Oversee vulnerability management processes, including prioritization, remediation coordination, risk communication, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide Tier III escalation support and operational decision-making for cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, and complex security issues.
  • Oversee operational administration, support, and effectiveness of cybersecurity tools, platforms, and services.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on cybersecurity operational metrics, service performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cybersecurity engineering and architecture resources to support implementation of security technologies, operational requirements, and capability enhancements.
  • Monitor emerging threats, technologies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends and incorporate applicable improvements into operational cybersecurity practices.
  • Support security governance activities through development, implementation, and operational adoption of cybersecurity standards, procedures, operational controls, and best practices that support enterprise security, compliance, and regulatory objectives, including alignment with applicable control frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Digital, Operational Technology, Risk & Controls, and business stakeholders to support secure business operations and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness and education initiatives to promote secure behaviors across the organization.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
