Job Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Performs simple and routine maintenance and repair of grounds, fences, exterior structures, buildings, equipment and related utilities.
  2. Guide and lead Youth Conservation Corp interns and volunteers during conservation and maintenance projects.
  3. Assist journey-level, or other higher graded maintenance workers in the maintenance, repair, and construction of buildings and facilities
  4. Performs carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and other related indoor and outdoor maintenance duties.
  5. Works solo or as part of a team to accomplish all park tasks.
  6. Operates riding and push mowers, gas-powered weed eater, and pressure wash machine.
  7. Scours lavatories, stools, and urinals.
  8. Vacuums and shampoos carpets.
  9. Cleans offices and buildings, collecting bagged trash and recycled materials from site buildings, historic structures and hauling those materials to designated areas in the site.
  10. Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using brooms and mops.
  11. Dusts, waxes and polishes office furniture, tabletops, desks, chairs, lighting, fixtures, windows, window ledges and woodwork.
  12. Operates 2 and 4-wheel pickups and tractor.
