Responsibilities
Data Warehouse & Pipeline Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Manager to understand project priorities, data requirements, and delivery expectations, ensuring all work aligns with the broader BI strategy.
  • Perform data warehouse development tasks as directed, including building and modifying tables, views, and transformation logic to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Coordinate with the Business Intelligence Manager before implementing data changes to ensure schema updates, new data sources, and structural modifications are reviewed and incorporated appropriately.
  • Partner with Software Developers and Business Analysts to understand upstream data sources and ensure reliable, accurate data flows into the warehouse.
  • Document data models, transformation logic, and warehouse structures to support maintainability and knowledge sharing across the team.

PowerBI Development
  • Design, develop, and publish PowerBI dashboards and reports that translate business data into clear, actionable visualizations for stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Manager and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into well-structured, effective dashboards.
  • Create and maintain data models within PowerBI, including DAX measures, calculated columns, and relationships optimized for performance and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update existing PowerBI dashboards to reflect evolving business needs, adding new features and enhancements as directed.
  • Perform PowerBI QAQC to validate data accuracy and visual integrity before publishing reports to end users.

Documentation & Support
  • Create and maintain public-facing documentation for PowerBI dashboards and reports, including data definitions, refresh schedules, and usage guidance to support self-service adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support to end users for dashboards and reports within your area of ownership, serving as a resource for questions and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and update Excel refreshable reports connected to live business data sources as needed.
  • Perform ad-hoc SQL reporting to support business analysis and stakeholder requests.

Collaboration & Project Execution
  • Operate within an Agile/sprint-based workflow, participating in sprint planning and delivering BI work in alignment with team priorities set by the Business Intelligence Manager.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts on PowerBI initiatives, ensuring reporting and analytics requests are clearly defined and handed off with sufficient context for development.
  • Communicate proactively with the Business Intelligence Manager on project status, blockers, and upcoming deliverables.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders across the business including executives/C-Suite members.

Qualifications
Education
  • Minimum of a high school degree. A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred. Industry-recognized certifications in business intelligence, data analytics, or related disciplines are a plus.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience developing and publishing PowerBI dashboards and reports in a production environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server querying and data warehouse concepts
  • Experience within a company of similar size and complexity to Nox Group of Companies (preferred)
  • Experience in the construction or industrial sectors is a plus.

Technical Skills: Must be proficient with the following technologies and disciplines
  • Microsoft PowerBI - dashboard development, data modeling (DAX), report design, and publishing
  • Microsoft SQL Server - ad-hoc querying, data validation, and basic warehouse development
  • Data warehouse concepts - table design, views, stored procedures, transformation logic, and data pipeline awareness
  • Excel - refreshable report design and maintenance connected to live data sources
  • Agile/sprint-based project management methodologies
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Mental:
  • Requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, meaningful visuals for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required, including the ability to produce clear documentation, manage competing priorities, and perform well under deadline pressure.
