Job description

The Role
The Paralegal provides substantive legal and operational support across a broad range of matters for Plexus Worldwide. Working closely with attorneys and business partners, this role conducts legal research and supports corporate, marketing, promotional, intellectual property, contract, and litigation matters while independently driving assigned legal projects.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced paralegal who can work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and help strengthen the systems and processes that enable the Legal team to operate effectively.

Key Performance Objectives
  • Build Promotional Compliance Expertise: Develop expertise in U.S. and international contest, sweepstakes, and promotional requirements and help translate those requirements into practical guidance and education for business teams.
  • Support the IP Portfolio: Develop a strong understanding of Plexus' intellectual property portfolio and proactively support filings, renewals, deadlines, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Advance Legal Research & Analysis Capabilities: Conduct legal research and analysis, and translate findings into clear, actionable guidance and insights.
  • Optimize Contracts & Legal Request Management: Provide business-focused legal support, ensuring timely intake, drafting, review, execution, tracking, and organization of contracts

Performance Accountabilities
  • Legal Research & Analysis: Conducts legal and regulatory research across U.S. and international jurisdictions and prepares clear, concise summaries and work product for attorney review.
  • Corporate Governance: Supports corporate entity management, including formations, filings, minutes, consents, resolutions, annual meetings, and compliance calendars.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Supports legal review of contests, sweepstakes, incentives, advertising, product claims, testimonials, influencer content, and other consumer-facing initiatives.
  • Contracts & Legal Requests: Drafts and reviews routine agreements and legal documents and manages the intake, execution, organization, and tracking of legal requests and contracts.
  • Intellectual Property: Supports intellectual property filings, renewals, deadlines, portfolio maintenance, and coordination with attorneys and outside counsel.
  • Litigation Support: Assists with litigation and discovery matters, including litigation holds, subpoenas, garnishments, and related legal requests.
  • Legal Operations: Maintains Legal department systems, records, matter management, and e-billing while identifying opportunities to improve processes, technology, and efficiency.
  • Project Management & Partnership: Independently drives assigned legal projects and partners with internal stakeholders, international teams, outside counsel, and vendors to ensure timely execution and resolution.
  • Confidentiality & Judgment: Handles sensitive legal and business information with discretion, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism

Performance Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate Legal department or law firm; in-house experience preferred.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Experience across multiple legal areas such as corporate governance, contracts, promotions/marketing, intellectual property, or litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, judgment, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance for business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of discretion and proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology systems.
