About the Position

Harris Health is seeking a Supplemental Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations at Ben Taub Hospital, with a schedule of every other Sunday only.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist pharmacists with preparing and distributing prescribed medications and other healthcare products while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, patient safety, and service.

Key responsibilities include preparing medications for dispensing, unit-dose packaging and repackaging, counting tablets, reconstituting medications, preparing oral syringes, compounding sterile preparations, maintaining inventory, delivering medications to patient care units, and filling or replenishing automated dispensing cabinets.

You will also assist with collecting, organizing, and verifying patient information and perform clerical duties such as answering phones, stocking shelves, cash collection and management, filing, and data entry. Accuracy and precision are essential in all aspects of this role to ensure patient health and safety.
