About the Position

Harris Health is seeking a Supplemental Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations at Ben Taub Hospital, with a schedule that includes every other Saturday.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with preparing and distributing prescribed medications and other healthcare products while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, patient safety, and service.

Key responsibilities include preparing medications for dispensing, counting tablets and capsules, reconstituting medications, preparing oral syringes, compounding sterile preparations, maintaining inventory, delivering medications to patient care units, and filling or replenishing automated dispensing cabinets.

You will also assist with collecting, organizing, and verifying patient information and perform clerical responsibilities such as answering phones, stocking shelves, cash collection and management, filing, and data entry. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential to protecting patient health and safety.
