About the Position
The Clinical Pharmacist at Harris Health will ensure the pharmacy department is facilitating safe medication use and meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements while complying with all applicable policies and procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to provide pharmacy services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff by interpreting and evaluating the validity of medication orders and prescriptions. In line with this, it will be important for you to integrate core clinical pharmacy knowledge as you dispense and order review activities. The Clinical Pharmacist will also perform order entry, pharmacokinetics, IV to PO, therapeutic interchange, and other clinical activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Texas Pharmacist License
    • May also be eligible and wiling to obtain licensure within 90 days of employment
  • Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification within 180 days of employment
  • ACPE IV Sterile Certification
  • BLS Certification within 90 days of employment
  • ACLS Certification within 180 days of employment
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialities Certification preferred
  • 2 years of progressive and relevant experience in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Completion of PGY1 ASHP-Accredited residency preferred
