Position Details: Title: Clinical Dietitian Department: Clinical Nutrition Location: Corpus Christi, TX Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. On-Call: Rotating evening and weekend coverage Travel: Occasional travel to specialty clinics in Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville, and Victoria as needed Driscoll offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance . Upcoming or recent graduates may interview for our roles prior to completing and passing their Registered Dietitian certification exam. As a Clinical Dietitian at Driscoll Children's Hospital, you'll be a key member of our pediatric care team, delivering evidence-based nutrition support to patients and families across inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop individualized care plans, provide education to patients and caregivers, and collaborate closely with physicians and nurses on interdisciplinary care.

This role includes monitoring medical nutrition therapy, verifying diet and formula orders, documenting in the EMR, and ensuring accurate billing. Additional Responsibilities Based on Level: Level I Dietitians focus on developing foundational skills, gaining clinical experience, and contributing to patient care under general supervision Level II Dietitians demonstrate a higher level of autonomy, routinely handle complex cases, serve as a resource across the system, contribute to quality initiatives, and may precept interns or junior team members Level III Dietitians serve as clinical and professional experts, providing the highest level of authority in nutrition practice. They represent the department when needed, ensure consistency in evidence-based care, lead quality assurance efforts, and mentor or supervise dietitians and staff in complex patient care situations.

Qualifications: All Levels: Bachelor's degree or higher in nutrition or related field from an ACEND-accredited program Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through CDR Texas state licensure (or within 90 days of hire) Food Safety and BLS certifications (or within 90 days of hire) Valid driver's license Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish Level I: Completion of ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship. New graduate to 3 years experience. Level II: Minimum of 3 years (6,240 hours) of direct clinical nutrition care Preferred: Master's degree or specialty certification (e.g., CSP, CSPCC, RDN-AP) Preferred: Experience in specialized pediatric programs (e.g., NICU, oncology, feeding disorders) Level III: Minimum 6 years' experience in nutrition care, education, counseling, private practice, community/public health, school system, long-term care or related field with valid NDTR credential or other professional designation.
