Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established asset management firm to fill a temporary AP Accountant Consultant position in Manhattan. We are searching for someone with strong invoice processing, payment administration, expense management, and Excel/reporting skills. This position is currently expected to be an open-ended temporary assignment. If you are interested in temporary opportunities, please read on for additional details!
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing invoices, payment requests, expense reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy, proper coding, and business purpose prior to processing
  • Processing and approving payments for multiple entities, including checks and wire transfers
  • Researching payment inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and communicating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely resolution
  • Creating, reviewing, modifying, approving, and maintaining vendor records
  • Preparing journal entries and recording general ledger transactions
  • Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including account analyses and reconciliations
  • Preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits
  • Generating ad hoc reports, schedules, and financial analyses as needed
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable and accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Experience with Oracle, Coupa, or similar accounting, ERP, and procurement platforms is a plus
Employment Type/Details:
  • Consulting/Temporary, open-ended duration
  • 40-hour work week with a flexible schedule (9:00 AM-6:00 PM, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, etc.)
  • Hybrid schedule requiring 4 days in the office and 1 day remote
$34-40/hr
