Job description

Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safely oriented I&E Technician Internship with an excellent mechanical problem solving aptitude with great trouble shooting skills to join our El Dorado, AR team! 

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Internship will be learning and performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting PLC's along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Wage: $20hr

What does it take to work for Synergy, a Clean Harbors Company?

  • 2+  years combined of plant experience and related education preferred

  • Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics

  • Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)

  • VFD troubleshooting and installation experience a plus! 

  • Three phase 480v

  • Must be able to pass a paper test

  • Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
  • Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and installation 
  • Maintains accurate records and logs as required
  • Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
  • Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
