Now Hiring: Seasonal Acting Staff - The Dead End Hayride


Location: Wyoming, MN

Looking for a unique, fast-paced job this fall? The Dead End Hayride is hiring seasonal actors to bring our immersive, high-energy haunt to life. If you love Halloween, performing, or just want to be part of an unforgettable experience, this is your chance to join one of Minnesota's top seasonal attractions.


Position Overview:

As a scare actor, your job is to entertain and engage guests through high-quality, in-character performances. You'll be part of a team dedicated to delivering thrills, fun, and safe scares-night after night.


Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Comfortable standing and moving for up to 8 hours
  • Good physical stamina - supportive footwear required
  • Reliable transportation to/from Wyoming, MN
  • Available for evening and weekend shifts, including late nights
  • Positive attitude, respect for others, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to staying in character and giving your best performance

Additional Expectations:

  • Willingness to wear costumes, masks, and makeup
  • Able to work in varied weather (rain, cold, heat, etc.)
  • Must complete a required audition (quick and low-pressure)
  • Capable of lifting 15-30 lbs if needed
  • Open to playing multiple roles and adapting to different scenes
  • Comfortable performing with fog, strobe lights, and other effects

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver fun, safe, and engaging scare performances for guests
  • Follow all safety rules and performance guidelines

Pay & Schedule:

  • $13 starting, with capability of up to $16.50 per hour
  • Seasonal job runs for approximately 1.5 months
  • Weekly hours range from 10 to 40, depending on availability and performance needs
  • Shifts typically start between 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM, ending times vary
