The Product Management Director executes company strategy for Verisign's emerging DNS services. The role owns product strategy from market opportunity through commercialization, partnering closely with internal stakeholders as well as external partners. This role drives the development of product definition and solution plans to optimize Verisign's products and services portfolio as well as identifies and builds relationships with key partners and customers. Additionally, the successful candidate will help cultivate key ecosystem partnerships and serve as a product lead for emerging technologies across industry forums, standards organizations, and customer engagements.

Key responsibilities
  • Directs the development of specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
  • Utilizes broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives.
  • Manages the interface with product development and research to create products and validates early product definitions with customers.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships across the DNS, AI, cloud, service provider, and domain name ecosystems to identify partnership opportunities and accelerate product adoption.
  • Monitors emerging technology trends, competitive offerings, standards evolution, and industry events to identify new product opportunities and strategic risks.
  • Represent Verisign externally as a product lead by presenting at customer engagements, industry conferences, standard bodies, and technical forums.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years’ related experience
  • Knowledge of product management, marketing, channel management, and product development
  • Working knowledge of the Domain Name System (DNS), internet infrastructure, and the broader DNS ecosystem
  • Familiarity with rapidly evolving AI ecosystem, including Agentic AI, AI platforms, developer tooling, and emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic partnerships with technology companies, cloud providers, service providers, domain registrars, AI vendors, or related ecosystem participants
  • Existing relationships across the domain name industry, service provider ecosystem, cloud ecosystem, or AI ecosystem is a strong plus
  • Experience engaging with open-source communities, IETF, standards organizations, or other industry consortia is preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, engineers, and senior leadership
  • Ability to operate at an operational and strategic level
  • Strong business acumen, good judgment, objectivity, and accountability
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent experience, required

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $180,700 - $244,500.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
