Alpine Elementary is proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. The IB-PYP program uses student interest to study topics that are of importance in the world in which we live. Through the PYP program at Alpine Elementary School, children:

  • Acquire and practice a range of essential skills
  • Are encouraged to develop positive attitudes towards learning, the environment and other people

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IB Primary Years Program (PYP) Coordinator to lead the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of our PYP framework. As a key pedagogical leader within the school, the PYP Coordinator ensures the Program remains aligned with the IB philosophy, supports student agency, and fosters inquiry-based, concept-driven learning and a culture of international-mindedness aligned with Alpine's mission and goals.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in IB PYP teaching and coordination roles (preferred)
Completion of recent IB PYP professional development (preferred)
Deep understanding of inquiry-based learning and the PYP framework (preferred)
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to inspire and support a diverse team of educators
Commitment to the IB Learner Profile and international-mindedness
This is a leadership position with dedicated release time and resources. The successful candidate will be empowered to shape a thriving PYP learning environment that reflects both IB values and the unique identity of our school.
