Job Description
Position Summary:
The Senior Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the legal department. This role is responsible for legal document preparation and management, contract administration support, records management, calendar coordination, and administrative assistance for the legal team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, exercises discretion with confidential information, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Draft, proofread, format, and maintain legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and department files.
  • Organize and manage electronic records and documentation.
  • Assist with contract review processes, document routing, tracking approvals, and maintaining contract records.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate files, databases, and legal records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with document retention requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external legal inquiries and coordinate meetings and communications on behalf of the legal team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with special projects and provide additional administrative support as needed by the legal department.

Qualifications
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in a legal assistant, legal administrative support, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting attorneys, in-house counsel, or corporate legal teams.
  • Experience managing confidential legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and records. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external parties.
  • Discretion with confidential and sensitive information is required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
