Job description

Compensation: $250K - $375K+

Travel Requirement: International travel required to India 8+ times per year

AI Foundry is an AI building and consulting business working with some of the largest companies in the world. AI Foundry is partnered with a major global company operating across finance, consumer, and retail verticals, leading their AI efforts from the ground up.

The team is seeking builders who want to be part of something massive: designing and building multi-agent AI systems that will reshape how hundreds of millions of people interact with financial services, retail, insurance, and consumer products.

AI Foundry is looking for an Insurance Platform Lead to own the direction and execution of AI-native insurance platform work for a major international insurance provider. This person will connect product strategy, engineering delivery, partner coordination, and platform architecture so the insurance work becomes a repeatable system, not a set of disconnected pilots.

If you can lead insurance platform work from ambiguity to launch and bring product, technical, and operating teams with you, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the insurance platform roadmap across customer, agent, operations, underwriting, claims, and servicing workflows.
  • Translate executive priorities and partner requirements into a coherent platform plan with clear sequencing, owners, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Work closely with product managers, software engineers, architects, insurance operators, and overseas teams to keep delivery moving.
  • Define platform capabilities that can be reused across insurance products instead of building one-off workflows for each use case.
  • Drive alignment between the insurance partner, AI Foundry, and engineering teams on requirements, tradeoffs, risks, and launch readiness.
  • Hold teams accountable to high-quality execution while staying practical about ambiguity, speed, and changing information.
  • Identify where AI agents, workflow automation, data integrations, evaluation, and human review should fit into the insurance platform.
  • Create clear operating artifacts: roadmaps, decision memos, release plans, dependency maps, and status updates.
  • Stay deeply fluent in AI capabilities, insurance technology, enterprise platform patterns, and partner delivery realities.
  • Travel to India 8+ times per year to work directly with client, product, and engineering teams.
Who You Are
  • You have led complex platform, product, or transformation work in insurance, fintech, enterprise software, or another regulated operating environment.
  • You understand how to move from strategy to execution and can keep multiple teams aligned without drowning them in process.
  • You are AI-fluent and can identify practical ways AI-native systems can improve insurance workflows.
  • You can speak credibly with engineers, product leaders, operators, executives, and external partners.
  • You are strong at sequencing: deciding what needs to be built now, what can wait, and what dependencies will block progress.
  • You write clearly and create artifacts that help distributed teams make decisions and keep moving.
  • You can hold a high bar for quality, reliability, and customer trust while still moving quickly.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can make decisions when the answer is not obvious.
  • You are collaborative and direct, able to challenge assumptions without creating drag.
  • You are energized by building a platform from scratch with real scale and real operating complexity.
  • You use AI tools extensively in your own workflow and keep improving how you work with them.
How We Work

We are looking for people who use AI to raise the speed, quality, and ambition of the work while staying grounded in customers, teammates, and measurable outcomes.

  • We are hands-on with AI and technical tools, and we make ideas tangible through prototypes, clear artifacts, and working systems.
  • We move quickly, share work early, and keep refining until the product experience feels useful, polished, and memorable.
  • We focus on the hardest problems and the outcomes that matter, with the judgment to change course when the evidence points somewhere better.
  • We communicate clearly enough that teammates, leaders, and AI-assisted workflows can act on our thinking across time zones.
  • We collaborate with openness and respect, build on other people's ideas, and treat shared ownership as part of doing excellent work.
  • We speak up directly and constructively when something looks wrong, then commit fully once a decision is made.
Benefits & More
  • Medical and Dental benefits
  • 401K
  • Opportunity to shape AI strategy for 500M+ users
