Title: Mechanical Breakdown Adjuster

The Opportunity:The purpose of this role is to utilize standardized procedures in adjudicating mechanical breakdown claims. Answer telephone calls from repair facilities and customers holding a service contract or policy to answer questions, giving instructions and obtaining information to complete the claims adjudication process. Determine if there is coverage in adjusting a claim by using and interpreting the terms and conditions of a service contract or policy. Ensure the cost effectiveness of adjudicating a claim by being able to negotiate parts and labor and possibly resourcing parts to assist the company in and meeting our customer needs and our obligations for both our RV and Automobile customer

  • Location: Greenwood Village, CO

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid working expectations.

    This position is in a call center environment.

    During training work hours will be 8:00 am to 4:00 pm MT. After training hours will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm MT, depending on the business needs. There will be opportunity for earlier shifts depending on performance and business needs.

  • Pay Range: $28.00 - 41.75

Your new role:

Provide timely, personalized and quality customer service to both internal and external customers
Determine validity and adequacy of dealer repair orders and loss reports, ensure parts and labor charges are accurate and reasonable
Enter information into claims software to document claim and verify parts and labor pricing, and to adjust and settle claims
Respond to inquiries from customers according to the terms and conditions of the policy
Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders by utilizing subject matter expertise on policies
Collaborate with team by escalating issues to upper-level claims professionals to facilitate the accurate assessment of complex exposures
Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
A Claims Adjusters license from any state

Must be able to acquire state adjuster licenses for assigned states

Preferred Knowledge

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Working knowledge of mechanical failures and repairs
Basic knowledge of material damage estimating processes, systems and requirements
Basic understanding of claims department processes and procedures
Basic understanding of insurance policy and contract language
Basic knowledge of claims legal regulations and processes
Spanish or French speaking a plus.
Secondary school certification.
Valid Driver's License.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
