Overview
Position:Human Resource Assistant
Department: Divisional Human Resources Department, 701 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia
Availability of Position: Immediate
Schedule: Full Time; 35 hours per week; 8:30am-4pm but additional hours may be required
Reporting Relationship: Directly: HR Director; Indirectly: Assistant HR Director and General Secretary
Salary and Grade: $26.00 per hour; 78 Non-Exempt

Responsibilities
Description of Position: This position is a highly responsible administrative support position in the Divisional Human Resources Department. Duties require a high degree of initiative, accuracy, and organizational skills; confidentiality, professionalism and requiring general understanding of and application of Ceridian Dayforce and UKG Pro HR/Payroll software and Excel. The HR Data Assistant will maintain a strict schedule for processing paperwork after HR transactional data is properly and formally approved and enters data into the Ceridian Dayforce/UKG Pro System including tracking documentation and approvals. Enters new hire data into The Salvation Army's Territorial Registry System. Accurately enters queued data for timely processing of newly hired employees and recently terminated employees, as well as all other HR transactional data (promotions, job and status changes, and salary changes.) The HR Assistant will be solely responsible for the processing of the seasonal camp and kettle hires and must have the ability to work under pressure. HR Assistant may also assist with the data entry of benefit information into appropriate databases. The HR Assistant must check completed work for accuracy and maintain a log or record of activities and tasks. The HR Assistant work requires a high level of attention to detail and care. Assist in assigned HRIS projects and participates in periodic department training seminars. Performs related duties as assigned.
This position is an on site role and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Qualifications
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field required. Applicant must have at least two to three years of prior experience working with a large HRIS system; experience using UKG Pro is a must, knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce helpful. Candidate must be an advanced user of MS Word and MS Excel. Experience auditing and manipulating large-scale data. Comfortable with formulas and features in MS Excel such as pivot tables, vlookup, filters, subtotals. Candidate must have proven attention to detail and ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy and care. Must have a sensitivity for safeguarding the confidential information of applicants and employees maintained in the Human Resources Department. The successful candidate must be a detail oriented, analytical, logical thinker, and must be a motivated self-starter who can work in an environment with multiple, changing work priorities, and must be able to work within those deadlines. Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment. Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
