Job Summary:

The Director, International Military Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth through international defense and military channels for our licensed OEM products. This individual contributor role focuses on international military sales, export sales, and DCS contracts across multiple channels, including direct sales to customers and coordinated efforts through various funding sources.

This position leads strategic sales pursuits for complex, long-cycle international opportunities while building and expanding key relationships with international military customers and OEM partners. The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams, deep knowledge of defense procurement processes, and a willingness to engage directly with customers worldwide.

We are seeking candidates based out of the Northeast region of the United States

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales Execution
  • Identify, develop, and close international military sales opportunities across assigned regions.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline aligned with Order Intake (OI) targets.
  • Lead pursuit strategies for large, complex defense programs, including DCS contracts and export opportunities.
  • Propose solutions through multiple channels (OEM direct, OEM with USG funding, and direct DCS) to maximize win probability.
  • Coordinate proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop new, strategic relationships with additional OEMs, engaging at senior levels top-down.

Customer & Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government and military stakeholders, international defense customers, and OEM partners.
  • Serve as the primary commercial interface for assigned international military accounts.
  • Partner closely with the OEM Key Account Manager and USG Sales team to ensure aligned strategies and seamless execution across channels.
  • Provide input into global sales strategy, product positioning, and market opportunities.
  • Lead negotiation of contracts with international customers.
  • Travel internationally (Europe, Asia, Middle East, and India) to build relationships and advance opportunities.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Compliance:

  • Work closely with Regional Leaders, Functional Teams, Legal, and Compliance to execute opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure full adherence to ITAR, export controls, and all relevant government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12–15+ years of strategic sales or key account management experience in aerospace, defense, or military programs.
  • Proven track record of independently closing complex international defense contracts.
  • Deep understanding of defense procurement, government contracts, and export processes.
  • Demonstrated capability to grow existing accounts and comprehensively develop new customers independently from initial contact to strategic relationship.
  • Experience working across multiple international regions (Americas, EMEIA, Asia).

Preferred :

  • Experience supporting engine programs, MRO services, or aerospace tooling.
  • Existing relationships within the international defense contractors, OEMs, or armed services.
  • Familiarity with offset agreements and foreign military sales (FMS).

  • Highest standards of integrity and compliance awareness.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10-12 times per year, with some trips up to two weeks in duration.
  • The role is based in North East Region of United States
