International Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Tupelo, MS
Pay: Starting at $16.00–$17.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented International Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, inspecting shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and safely moving products throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. This role requires someone who can work independently while also communicating effectively with supervisors and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Accurately record received materials and update inventory systems.
  • Label, tag, organize, and store products in designated areas.
  • Operate a forklift to move and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials near shipping and receiving docks.
  • Inspect products for quality and identify discrepancies or damaged materials.
  • Work with purchasing and other departments to resolve receiving issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse records.
  • Assist with shipping and inventory control activities as needed.
  • Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous forklift experience is required.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift in an industrial warehouse environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, orders, and shipping documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment around active shipping and receiving docks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and turn throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and handle boxes and materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to work extended shifts of approximately 10 hours with standard breaks.
  • Must have sufficient range of motion for bending and reaching.
  • Must be comfortable working around forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
